REGURGITATE nacio en el año 1990 con los siguientes miembros: Rikard Jansson - vox / Mats Nordrup - guitar. Mats tambien tocaba en CREMATORY (de Suecia, no la de Alemania) y tambien en GENERAL SURGERY. La banda graba un demo en 1991 y toca en un concierto con la bateria programada. Peter Stjärnvind quien tocaba la bateria estaba tocando en otras bandas,pero poco despues se unio a REGURGITATE.
